The client, is a leading medical supply manufacturer located in the Mira Mesa/Sorrento Valley area. The current length of this assignment is scheduled to be 3- 12months, the schedule is Monday-Friday, with desired flexibility for overtime as needed. For consideration, please email your resume to: [email protected] Positions available: 1. Medical Assemblers: 1st shift, 5am-130pm, $15.66/hr 2. Material Handlers: 2nd shift, 2pm-1030pm, $16.44/hr *Either position will require you to stand or walk for a large part of the shift, and may require the lifting of up to 50 lbs. **must be able to pass a 7-year background screening and drug test **HS Diploma or GED required Description: Medical Assembler Performs any combination of tasks involved in the fabrication, manufacture, assembly, testing and packaging of medical devices as well as setting up, operating, performing maintenance on and troubleshooting equipment. May conduct quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality specifications. Works within clearly defined SOPs and / or scientific methods and adheres to quality guidelines. Zero (0) to one (1) year of manufacturing assembly experience. Effective communication skills at a level co-workers and Team Lead/Supervisor can understand. Ability to read, write, interpret and comprehend specifications written in English and perform basic math calculations. Ability to use basic tools of measurement, such as microscopes. Must be able to work flexible and/or extended hours and report to work on a regular, punctual basis. Has good attention to detail. Ability to get along with people and be able to work in a team environment. Willingness to rotate into different tasks and responsibilities. Physical Demand: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time. Occasionally the employee may be required to lift or move at least 50 pounds. Description: Material Handler Uses a variety of equipment such as forklifts, conveyers, cranes, handcarts, and power trucks to move materials, parts, assemblies and finished products or goods within a plant, office or warehouse. May maintain records. Develops skills in basic tasks, techniques and procedures within one skill area / process / method. Applies basic knowledge and skills to complete routine tasks consisting of prescribed steps. Works within clearly defined SOPs and / or scientific methods and adheres to quality guidelines. Works under general to limited supervision. High school diploma or equivalent. Zero (0) to one (1) year warehouse experience or related experience and/or training. Obtains and/or maintains appropriate licenses / training / certifications, as needed. Has basic skills training in an analytical / scientific method or operational process area (e.g., material handling and management, logistics, manufacturing production). Effective communication skills at a level co-workers and Team Lead/Supervisor can understand. Ability to read, write, interpret and comprehend documents written in English and perform basic math calculations. Ability to perform/operate in a metrics-driven environment. General computer skills. Physical Demand � The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The job can require lifting and/or moving over 50 lbs. The position will have exposure to work near moving mechanical parts, extreme weather conditions and vibration. Occasionally the position will have exposure to work in high, precarious places and fumes/airborne particles. It is hot in the summer months (no AC) and cold in the winter months (limited heating). The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
