Grounds Supervisor

Description

The supervisor will oversee the maintenance of acres of exterior turf, hardscape, landscape, mulch beds, gardens, retention ponds, roadways, parking lots, sidewalks, and others as directed. Provide all lawn mowing ad general turf care. Trimming and care of trees, shrubs, and other plant materials. Seasonally install annual flowers. Support mulch installation as directed. Provide edging of mulch beds, sidewalks, and other areas. Support weed, leaf, and grass clipping control for the Whiteman Air Force Base Field. Requirements: -Experience in maintenance and landscaping preferred -Tractor Experience -Minimum 5 years of management experience. -Basic computer skills required. -Ability to operate grounds equipment. Other Duties Payroll: - Gathering time cards twice per month, ensure each is signed by the employee and add the time cards' hours. - Make necessary corrections and resubmit as requested - Training new and current employees (materials provided) - Prepare and perform monthly Safety and Preventative Training (materials provided) - Ensure all proper paperwork is filled out with new employees - Ensure all proper paperwork is completed with exiting employees - Indicate and communicate training opportunities and assist in presenting appropriate training Operations: - On-Site Inspections with computerized devices - Ensure proper paperwork and recording is performed with each site inspection - Follow up with deficiencies to ensure it is corrected; deficiencies may need to be performed by self. - Scheduling if employees - Cover open shifts appropriately with staff - Update individual staff schedules as appropriate to changes necessary -Maintain proper communication with customers as necessary and perform on-site joint inspections when needed. -Maintain and follow up with appropriate maintenance care to company's equipment.
