Martin Docks, Inc. is seeking a responsible individual to fill the position of Lake Crew Service Technician and take part of an in-house training program to become a Crew Leader. This position will be based out of Gainesville, GA. The Lake Crew Tech will be responsible for working with a small 2-3 man team to install and repair decking, steel and aluminum frames, metal roofing, boat lifts, floats, etc. on floating boat docks on Lake Sydney Lanier. This is a full time, hourly position and is eligible for full benefits after the company waiting period. The Lake Crew Tech must be able to work well with a team on and around fresh water lakes and rivers. The Lead will be responsible for making decisions as well as carrying out fabrication, repair, and maintenance on floating boat docks. Daily travel to and from Job sites by boat or truck will be required. Must be able to work in an outdoor environment with a changing temperature. The position requires daily hands on work. Preferred and Required: Boat pilot and water navigation experience preferred Leadership ability to supervise co-workers Time Management Skills Good communication skills Must be able to perform basic mathematical calculations Must be able to read and write and interpret work orders Ability to work without direct supervision Must be able to work outdoors and on fresh water lakes. Exposed to all weather environments (Cold, Heat, Rain) Construction background experience desired Experience with hand and power tools required Welding experience, Fabricating/Framing experience desired Eligible to work in the United States 1099 or Sub-contractors are welcome to apply. The contract work will be daily during the contracted time frame.
