I need advice on neck pain

My neck has been hurting a lot lately and am going to a dr but don't have an appointment for 2 weeks. Any recommendations on what I can do till then to help eliminate some of it? I have tried heat ice and pain creams but they don't seem to help too much. Give me some ideas thanks.
