Maintenance Tech position available for a local property management company downtown Kalamazoo. PATCHING DRYWALL, PAINTING, MINOR PLUMBING, MINOR ELECTRICAL, CARPENTRY. HVAC EXPERIENCE VERY DESIRABLE. Must be a motivated and self-directed individual who is able to communicate with associates, tenants and managers. Qualified candidates include those with general experience in maintenance, carpentry or general handyman skills. Basic TOOLS a plus, and some can be provided. TWO years of maintenance experience required. Candidates must have a vehicle and a VALID DRIVERS LICENSE. Must be able to lift 40 pounds. Must be willing to take 24 hour emergency calls one week a month (Time+1/2 for emergency response time). Company cell phone and possible company vehicle provided OR gas reimbursement for use of personal vehicle during business hours. Hourly pay determined on experience. Other responsibilities include: *Conducting oneself in a professional manner as a company representative, demonstrating sound judgment and conduct. *Ensuring the quality of work; maintaining high standards. *Timely completion of turnover deadlines. *Completing administrative paperwork and time tracking as necessary. *Maintaining company vehicle (if applicable).. *Additional duties as requested by management.
