We currently have opportunities for highly motivated team players as a Warehouse Associate at our Elkhart, IN location. ***Starting pay rate is $15.25/hr. Hours are 6:00am – 2:30pm and 10:00am – 6:30pm, Monday – Friday*** Job Summary: Responsible for accurately performing assigned warehouse tasks including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, wire cutting, light assembly, as well as housekeeping of assigned areas. Operates warehouse equipment including power equipment. Complies with operational, audit, safety and other company policies. Responsibilities include, but not limited to: Utilizes available computer and RF equipment to stage and put away inbound materials. Uses manual or RF process to pick, pack, weigh and ship product. Handles outbound shipments using manual or system generated packing lists and bills of lading. Completes log sheets for inbound overages, shortages, damages or non-compliant material. Maintains appropriate forms and records. Follows return policy guidelines and issuance of credit memos. Processes verbal and written complaints from customers concerning dissatisfaction with product or service provided. Performs work at established productivity standards. We are looking for candidates with: At least 6 months prior work experience. Stable work history. We’re looking for good people who want to stick around for a while and be part of the WESCO/Anixter family. High school degree or equivalent. 1 year preferred of warehouse operations experience. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to lift, bend, reach, push, pull, squat and walk throughout a shift. Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time, generally an entire shift (8+ hours per day). Understanding of basic computer skills preferred. Demonstrated math, counting, reading, writing and problem solving skills. Environmental: Work is generally preformed in a warehouse environment. The noise level is moderately quiet, generally well ventilated and well lighted. Warehouse employees may be exposed to all kinds of weather and may be required to wear protective clothing. Operates heavy equipment. Strict safety regulations may be required.
