A Mother’s Day Workshop—Japanese Shibori
May 8th, FROM 5-8PM
In Japan, the earliest known example of cloth dyed with a Shibori technique dates from the 8th century. The process is created through a series of folding, twisting, and binding using plant based indigo dye. The results are unique and beautiful.
Join us as we Make & Mary with other craftspeople in our outdoor courtyard. We’ll provide all the necessary materials and guidance, along with herbal mocktails.
FILL FREE TO BRING YOUR OWN WHITE GARMENTS, BUT WE WILL ALSO SUPPLY A TEA TOWEL AND A TOTE FOR YOU TO DYE AND TAKE HOME!
