*Please contact the rescue listed below with any questions for adoption!* Sometimes my subjects that I draw take a bit of time to get to know. This little guy did, and no wonder! He has been through a lot and is looking for a forever home. Clyde is a 6 year old, neutered male Chihuahua. But more than that, he is a brave little crime fighter! See, him and several of his friends (friends? Yes! He has two brothers who need adopted as well – but I can only draw so fast so make sure you go visit the link! Bullwinkle was the first to be posted!) were rescued in Wyoming out of a Uhaul truck in February of 2020. The truck was crammed – top to bottom and side to side – with animals, all of which were in a serious state of neglect and several were deceased. This brave little guy and his two brothers were used as evidence in the case against the people who were responsible to help put them in prison. And from there, it has been looking up because he landed in Izzys Place Rescue (more about them in a moment). His foster mom says he is a super friendly boy who does well with other little dogs. Animals and their ability to forgive never ceases to amaze me, and the fact that this little guy is willing to give people another chance is simply amazing. Izzys Place Rescue is a foster only rescue that takes in mainly senior dogs, but also animals that have been neglected and abused as in the case of Clyde and his friends. The dogs are then placed with a loving foster home who will keep them until they find a forever home. Senior dogs and dogs that might be traumatized from abuse cases like the one above tend to be overlooked at the shelter. And unfortunately, rescues that take in these guys tend to be overlooked as well. Izzy`s Place currently has three dogs up for adoption, all of which were involved in the animal abuse case above.
