Spring is the perfect time for a slow yin practice paired with a soothing and beautiful stress relieving sound bath meditation. Yin is a very slow and meditative practice where postures are held for longer periods of time from 3-5 minutes. This allows us to stretch the deep connective tissues between the muscles, and the fascia throughout the body. Spring Element: Wood / Yin Organ Associated: Liver Based off of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Spring is the time to stimulate the channels of our Liver and Gallbladder meridians. This means a lot of hips, thighs, and groin. When we practice Yin Yoga, we enrich the quality of Chi by slowing down and surrendering to our experience. This unhurried and unambitious attitude combined with the ability to feel deeply attentive to our bodies diminished out stress levels and allows our system to discharge excess tensions that have built up through unaware living as well as past frozen trauma that are locked in our tissues. Afterwards we will lay down to enjoy a restorative and soothing sound bath. Allowing the healing vibrations to balance and naturally realign your energy centers.
