Pharma-Cruiting Life Sciences Executive Search is seeking a Facilities Manager for a company in the New Hyde Park area. As our Facilities Manager you will be responsible for overall facilities management activities. This to ensure the facility and related support services are operating in the expected manner to support business operations. RESPONSIBILITIES Day to day facilities management Ensure facility is operating as expected and address any issues. Includes proactively managing items to prevent out of stock and break down situations. Includes shared high traffic areas such as bathrooms and lunchroom. Make sure all plumbing and fixtures are working properly and consumable items are properly stocked. Responsible for keeping facility clean via cleaning service provider. Act as main point of contact for any facilities related items that arise. Address issues appropriately and in a timely manner. Act as main contact to landlord and other service provider to resolves issues. Collaborate with IT and drive resolution for IT related breakdowns – camera’s, card readers, etc. External Services Management Source & Manage all external services required to support the facility, this includes, but is not limited to – Pest Control, Freezer Maintenance & Repair, Uniform rental, Test Equipment Calibration, Cleaning Service, etc. Support impacted departments and finance with any requests for information. Manage service contracts Ensure proper certificates of insurance and other documentation are on file. Planning and Prevention Proactively manage all preventative maintenance including core to the business equipment such as freezers, test equipment, HVAC, etc. Advising businesses on measures to improve the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of the facility Planning for the future by forecasting the facility’s upcoming needs and requirements Oversee any renovations, refurbishments and building projects Help with office relocations Receiving Act as the main receiving person for deliveries to the site and assist with put away as able. Site Safety and OSHA Responsibility for OSHA and any other compliance including fire department, etc. Includes overall site compliance and documentation including internal SOP’s. Address any safety related items in the facility on an urgent basis Keep records for all work-related injurie Perform any other task related to the job that may be assigned or required. REQUIREMENTS Bachelor or equivalent by experience 3-5 years minimum facilities management experience, warehouse experience a plus Demonstrated experience in multi-tasking and prioritization Strong communication and interpersonal skills Experience in medical or hospital facilities preferred To apply: Please email Ruth Frazer - [email protected]
