WESTFIELD, NJ — The Westfield police said they are investigating a recent "bias incident and criminal mischief" at Westfield High School from last week.
They said that on Friday at 9:30 a.m., "a bias incident and criminal mischief to a bathroom stall at Westfield High School was reported. The bias nature referred to two swastikas etched on a bathroom stall wall by an unknown metal object. At this time, there is no suspect information and it is an ongoing investigation."
In November, police investigated a swastika at Tamaques Park.
There were also swastikas found at schools in Westfield in 2019 and 2018.
"These types of actions are taken extremely seriously by school administration and are not tolerated," said High School Principal Mary Asfendis in 2019.
A Westfield 13-year-old was arrested for the incident in 2018.
