MANCHESTER, CT — An extensive road resurfacing project began this week in Manchester and it is expected to delay traffic on eight streets through the end of spring. The streets are: Burnham Street ExtensionNorth School Street Buckland Alley Union Court Benton Street Walker StreetRussell Street Parker Street (from Middle Turnpike East to East Center Street)The contractor for the project, American Industries, expects the work to take place through June. Manchester officials said motorists should expect "minor" delays near the construction areas with alternating, one-way traffic patterns being imposed. Construction is slated for weekdays between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.
