Press release from Livermore Public Library: March 22, 2021 The Livermore Public Library will re-start its children's early learning classes this spring with outdoor, socially-distant sessions. Children and caregivers will enjoy stories and activities designed to encourage the development of early learning practices. Exploring literacy, science, and math through music, stories, and play will help children get ready for school. Sessions run from April 5 – May 31, 2021 at the Civic Center Library, 1188 S. Livermore Avenue, Livermore, CA 94550. Library early learning classes are free of charge. Some classes require registration. Masks are required for all attendees over age 2 and families are asked to observe social distancing. Please note that the Library will be closed during classes and no public restroom will be available. Classes are weather permitting. Sing and Learn Babies – Babies from birth to 12 months and their caregivers will enjoy songs, action rhymes, and playtime, and share a book together in each lively session. This class provides babies with the opportunity to hear language and encourages young families to get to know one another. Sing and Learn Babies will be held on the lawn near the Storytime Room. Attendees provide their own blankets. No registration required. Tuesday and Thursday classes are the same, please only attend once per week. Tuesdays 10:15 a.m. at Civic Center Library Thursdays 10:15 a.m. at Civic Center Library Music and Movement – Registration is required before coming to the Library for Music and Movement classes. Space is limited. Enjoy songs and movement activities that build motor and social skills, and increase independence as well as language development in your child. Perfect for ages 1-5, but everyone is welcome. Music and Movement will be held on the patio in front of the Library's main doors. Registration is required before coming to the class.
