Press release from the City of Glendora: March 22, 2021 NOTICE: Long Term Lane Closures on Lone Hill Ave. CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES WILL OCCUR AT THE RAILROAD CROSSING ON LONE HILL AVE | STARTING MARCH 18, 2021 DOWNLOAD OFFICIAL NOTICE CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITY As part of the Foothill Gold Line light rail project's mainline construction, utility operators (Southern California Edison and Charter Communications) and KPJV will be performing underground and above ground utility relocation and protection work on Lone Hill Ave. Construction activities will take place in the northbound and southbound traffic lanes at the railroad crossing. Work will take place continuously during daytime hours with intermittent nighttime lane closures. Traffic will be maintained in all directions. A separate notice will be provided for an anticipated nine-day full closure of Lone Hill Ave for construction activities that can not be performed safely under lane closures. WHEN Starting Thursday, March 18th and ongoing continously thru November, 2021 (excluding holidays).Daytime working hours: 9:00 AM - 3:00 PMNighttime working hours: 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM WHERE Construction activities will take place in both northbound and southbound lanes of Lone Hill Ave. between Gladstone St. and Auto Centre Dr., at the railroad crossing. Thru traffc will be maintained at all times as well as access to the Glendora Marketplace. WHAT TO EXPECT Typical noise from construction equipment will be produced near the active work zones such as construction vehicles and light plants (during nighttime hours). TRAFFIC ADVISORIESDaily: Northbound & southbound traffic lanes on Lone Hill Ave. from Gladstone St. to Auto Centre Dr. will be closed daily. Thru access for vehicular traffic will be maintained.Nightly: Northbound & southbound traffic lanes on Lone Hill Ave. from Gladstone St. to Auto Centre Dr. will be closed intermittently. Thru access for vehicular traffic will be maintained.Restricted vehicular access is expected near the work zones, including pedestrian access.Access to businesses will be maintained at all times.WORK ZONE The red area in the map shows the work zones. Access thru the workzones will be available throughout the duration of these operations. STAY SAFE Please obey all posted construction signs and do not enter the construction work zone.
