Press release from the City of Glendora: March 22, 2021 COURTESY NOTICE: Eight (8) Hour Water Shutdown WATER SYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS AT CARROLL AVE. WEST OF WASHINGTON AVE | MARCH 23, 2021 DOWNLOAD OFFICIAL NOTICE CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITY As part of the 9.1-mile Foothill Gold Line light rail project, crews will be working at Carroll Ave., west of Washington Ave. in Glendora to perform water system improvement operations. Main operations will take place within the Carroll Ave. cul-de-sac, closest to the railroad corridor and will occur during daytime hours. Operations will result in the City temporarily shutting off water to several properties. WHEN Tuesday, March 23rd (for approximately 8 hours) water will be shut off from, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM. WHERE Construction activities will occur within the Carroll Ave. cul-de-sac, west of Washington Ave. TRAFFIC ADVISORIES No additional lane closures will be taken for this work. Thru traffic for all residents will be maintained. WHAT TO EXPECT Typical noise from construction equipment will be produced near the active work zones such as air compressors, backhoes, and other construction vehicles. Water is expected to be shut off to several properties for approximately 8 hours. WORK ZONE The red area in the map shows the affected properties . The work zone is shown in yellow.
