WAZOBIA is a cultural extravaganza event in which we feature fashion, entertainment, comedy, and dance through an African perspective. We use African culture as inspiration for creative and innovative designs. ADE, meaning “crown" or "royalty” in Yoruba will take the audience on a journey through African and Black American culture, experience and fashion. WAZOBIA is always a huge hit. Three years ago for example, over 350 students, faculty, and non - Pitt affiliated public attended the event. During the process of planning the event, faculty and staff were especially impressed with how students put on such a great production with such poise and precision. This year, we are limiting the audience to 130 people so that we can abide by the Pitt COVID-19 guidelines. For those who cannot attend, the event will be recorded so you can view it from the comfort of their home.
