Culver City Expands COVID-19 Vaccine Appointments For Clinic

CULVER CITY, CA — If you know someone who is currently eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine and still needs one there's an upcoming clinic this week in Culver City to give people their first doses. More Los Angeles County residents can get vaccinated this week at a clinic Thursday for people 65 years old and older, along with other eligible groups. The Culver City Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department will host the COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Culver City Senior Center, 4095 Overland Ave., Culver City. The clinic is by appointment only. The one-time-only vaccination clinic is in partnership with the Los Angeles County Department of Health and Curative. To schedule an appointment, call the PRCS Department at (310) 253-6700 or (310) 253-6650. "You must speak to someone to make an appointment, please do not leave voicemails," the city said in a news release. Anyone who lives or works in L.A. County and is currently eligible to receive a vaccine at the site. For a full eligibility list please visit the L.A. County Public Health website and check under item #1 "Check to see if you are eligible for vaccination." Current eligible groups include: People 65 years old and olderHealth care workersLong term care facility workersFood and agricultureEducation and childcareJanitors/custodians/maintenance People with health conditions and disabilitiesPeople who live or work in congregate living spacesTransportation and logistics The clinic will help get the community vaccinated, according to the city, and it's for first doses only. Second doses will be scheduled during the event. Vaccines are limited. "We do not know if the vaccine will be Pfizer or Moderna," the city said.
