This position will be responsible for the safe building and/or packing of crates to protect our equipment for shipping to our customers. While the focus will be primarily geared towards the safe crating and/or packing of our equipment, this role with also have a secondary focus in supporting the warehouse team. Responsibilities: • Building wooden crates and pallets to house equipment • Securely packaging contents into crates and boxes • Effectively conserving packaging materials by only using the absolute necessary amount of materials to package each product • Communicating with managers to determine the most effective and safe packaging strategy for each product, problem solve any packaging issues, and continuously improve the packaging process and system as a whole • Operating on a timely packaging schedule that will revolve around daily freight-line pickups window time • Other Duties as Assigned Requirements: • Must be able to lift 50 pounds • Must be able to perform a mixture of bending, squatting, kneeling, and standing for the shift • Proficient in the operation of power saws, hand tool, small power tools and working with wood • Carpentry and woodworking skills preferred • Must be able to perform basic math calculations, with the use of a calculator • Must be able to read and take measurements with a tape measure • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills • Respirator to be worn during any gluing or chemical use/ assemblers must not have any pre-existing medical condition which would prevent them from wearing a respirator for long duration's • Must be a punctual, reliable team player HOURS: 7:00 am to 3:30 pm Monday – Friday (possible overtime and/or occasional Saturdays) SALARY: Based on experience AQUANEERING IS A DRUG FREE EMPLOYER. Four weeks after 10 years. SICK: 40 hours per year for salaried employees. 24 hours per year for hourly employees. HOLIDAYS: 6-8 per year : (New Year’s Eve, Memorial Day, July 4, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas) HEALTH: Employee coverage 80% company paid. SIMPLE IRA: Company matches your contribution up to 3% of gross salary.
