Press release from the Birmingham Police Department: 2021-03-23 The PSA theme is: "It is time to put the guns down." The video begins with an unidentified child riding a bicycle when the sound of gunshots ring out and a person is heard calling 911 to report a child has been shot. Officers are then dispatched to assist the child. The sound of a ticking clock begins as the youth (preschool age up to 16 years old) plea for adults to end gun violence and help them live and thrive and build a better future and a safer Birmingham.
