3 Workers Needed for Making Grape Cuttings All people on this crew will be working outside or inside at whatever the temperature is outside and need to dress appropriately for the weather long sleeves, long pants, work boots and rain gear when needed and a mask for close situations. Making Grape Cuttings • You will be standing at a table inside using a pair of hand clippers to make 8” to 10” sticks of live wood out of long vines that will have dead and live wood on them. • The Sticks will be tied in bundles of 100 and placed in at tote with sawdust to keep them moist and provide a place for them to callous to be ready to plant. • To get vines to make cuttings from you will need to go out to the scion block and cut vines while keeping the varieties separate and bring them back to the building to be processed. • At some point you will be outside in whatever weather it is as at that time so bring appropriate clothing to be in the weather whatever it is. • The job will likely last 4 to 6 weeks with possible opportunities to help plant trees during or after that time. • The job starts this week whenever I get 2 – 3 people suitable for the job and get them orientated. So, come on get out of the house and work outside with us for a while and help me get some grape cuttings made.
