Malibu community looking for a direct hire landscaper / gardener available for 40 hours a week work. We are looking for an experienced and diligent Landscaper to join our team. You must be comfortable operating lawn maintenance equipment, such as trimmers, and blowers, saws and understand how to water, fertilize, and prune decorative shrubs and plants. We pride ourselves in keeping our clients’ exterior safe and looking beautiful. Job description includes, but is not limited to: *Maintain the existing landscaping design and ensure plant survival. *Plant new flowers, bushes, plants, and decorative shrubs. *Remove and dispose of trash and debris from planters and parking areas. *Inspect and treat, as needed, for disease and insect infestations. *Check irrigation equipment for leaks, breaks, and malfunction and repair (or assist in repair) as needed. *Check and maintain irrigation systems for efficient water application reducing overspray and eliminating all runoff from leaving the planted areas. *Inspect all irrigation valves. *Clean up beds, walkways, sidewalks, and all community areas of weeds, overgrown vegetation, leaves, branches and clutter. *Trim shrubs and bushes. *Trim any dead / overgrown branches off trees lower than 10 - 12 feet. *Properly store and handle all equipment, tools, sprinklers, etc. * Other items necessary to maintain the desired appearance of the community. *Able to lift up to 30 pounds. Landscaper Requirements and Qualifications: *High school degree or equivalent *At least 18 years old *Previous experience in landscaping or grounds keeping in a multi-family community setting. *Must know how to operate lawn maintenance equipment, such as lawnmowers, string trimmers, leaf blowers, and hedge trimmers, etc. *Must pass background check and drug test *Able to stand, bend, and squat for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds. * Bilingual a plus. * Familiar with the basic operation of smart phones to use email and text.
