Job Summary The Facilities Assistant aims to ensure smooth day to day operations of our large LA campus. You'll support the administrative team and provide the highest levels of service, professionalism and courtesy to other associates and visitors. Knowledge, Abilities and Traits The successful Facilities Assistant will be: • dependable in timeliness, attendance and job performance. • able to work well individually and also as part of an established team. • knowledgeable in a variety of light maintenance and repair work. • able to comfortably lift and move 50 pounds. • computer friendly and technologically resourceful. • flexible and able to take direction. • able to effectively prioritize work tasks. • able to keep up with, and adhere to, safety and security guidelines. • friendly and approachable in demeanor. • of a high energy level and have a good attitude. • well groomed, organized and detail oriented. • a lover of dogs. Education & Experience • High School Diploma • 1-3 years of customer service experience or serving the public. • 1-3 years of maintenance, property management or facilities experience. • Experience in safety, plumbing, electrical, carpentry and/or HVAC a plus. Responsibilities • Prepare campus for operations. • Be sure it is clean, tidy, and free of hazards or obstacles. • Identify and proactively resolve maintenance or cleaning issues. • Rotate recycling bins and dumpsters as needed, on schedule. • Coordinate visitor parking and other signage. • Keep kitchens, conference rooms and common areas stocked with consumables. • Keep copy machine areas stocked with copy paper. • Monitor facilities requests frequently and respond to requests quickly. • Coordinate with the administrative team to keep campus running smoothly. • Assist with parking logistics. • Coordinate with vendors and contractors, as needed. • Coordinate facility supply orders. • Run miscellaneous errands. • Help prepare and clean cubicles and offices for new associates. • Make minor repairs. • Deliver, assemble, and install small furniture. • Keep storage spaces and closets neat and well maintained. • Help set up, break down and otherwise assist with meetings or other events. • Back up if counterpart is out. • Other miscellaneous tasks or projects, as needed.
