A Lead Custodian is responsible for leading and coordinating the work of Custodial positions in cleaning the inside of buildings and other facilities; ensures that assigned duties are completed on schedule and are done well within the area assigned; schedules project work and work order requests; responsible for supply needs of the area assigned; may be responsible for inventory control of all supplies and equipment; may perform as a Custodian during an absence; does related custodial work as required. Job Type: Full-time Schedule: 4pm-12:30pm Benefits: • Vacation • Sick Time • 401k • Health Insurance Qualifications • US citizen or Permanent Residency • Lead or supervisory experience: 2 years (preferred) • Cleaning: 5 years (preferred) • Customer Service: 1 year (preferred) • Night Shift (Required) • English and Spanish (Required) • Must Pass a Background check, including a Credit Check GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: • Ensure all assigned duties are carried out, and that resources are efficiently utilized. • Providing any form of required assistance to cleaners while they carry out their duties. • Must have relevant experience in cleaning and supervision of cleaning procedures • Assigns janitorial work to employees, following material and work requirements. • Inspects work performed to ensure conformance to specifications and established standards. • Trains workers in janitorial methods and procedures and proper operation of equipment. • Performs Custodial work as needed during absences Physical Demands: Physical strength and agility are required to operate cleaning, waxing and other equipment, to safely lift and carry cleaning equipment and bags of trash, and to repeatedly bend, stoop and twist. Working conditions include standing and/or walking for long periods of time and potential exposure to body fluids. Positions may require the ability to work irregular hours or to rotate shifts. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk. The employee is frequently required to stand and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
