Drummer looking to start a worship band not affiliated with any church or particular denomination. I do play at my church, but I am looking for this to be separate. I’ve been playing for over 30 years with experience in all styles from pit orchestra theater work, big band jazz, bar bands and hard rock, to studio time and a year on the road with a Christian rock band in the late 90’s. Yes I have done it all but my passion is in worship. I already have about a dozen, shall we say rewrites, in progress. Now need to get the right band to finish them up, record them, and see where it goes. Not for their songs, but if Delirious or Sonic Flood come to mind, you are on the right thought track, and about in my age group. (40’s) I do have a regular job, family, and other commitments, so this can not be a high time commitment. As such, I definitely want people who have some years and experience under their belt so they can get going quickly and time together is as efficient as possible.
