Position summary Technician’s role will be to inspect, maintain, and repair all different types of boats, using diagnostic equipment, test and repair boat engines, hulls, propellers, and navigational equipment. They also install and test sanitation and refrigeration systems, cabinetry, electrical systems, steering gear, and accessories. Duties and responsibility • Inspect, maintain, and repair different types of boats • Make use of diagnostic equipment to test and repair boat engines, hulls, propellers, and navigational equipment. • Install and test sanitation and refrigeration systems, cabinetry, electrical systems, steering gear, and accessories • Troubleshoot, test, repair, replace, remove and install vessel systems and components • Conduct thorough assessment prior to starting a job including; acknowledging the budgeted time and time • General familiarity of marine systems including electrical, plumbing & water systems • Troubleshoot, repair, and install vessel systems and components as well as electrical, electronics, HVAC, plumbing & water systems (fresh, salt, and waste), gas and diesel engines Technical and Physical Requirement • High school diploma or equivalent preferred • Ability to ascent and descend a ladder • Capability to lift 50 pounds • Basic boat handling skills preferred • Experience with both gas and diesel engines preferred Minimum skills qualifications • Positive attitude and inclination to learn • Ability to work cohesively with a team while also having the ability to work independently • Ability to offer exceptional customer service skills • Willing to participate in a growing, fast paced work environment
