I have been repeatedly screwed around by DETR. I want to change the way they "Decide" who gets unemployment and why. Rep. Horsford was sent an email by me outlining the Legal changes that need to be made but I have yet to hear from him. I would like to find a lawyer who would represent me and the thousands of others out there who have been screwed over by them. I filed for a legitimate claim in June of last year and HAVE NEVER been paid a dime. Why is it that the employees of DETR can get their pay checks and the people who the money is supposed to go to get the shaft? Because the State has used the money paid in by employers to fund their FREE RIDE. I propose that the law change like this: 1. DETR can no longer use the money destined to unemployed people to fund themselves except for 10%. 2. ANYONE who has worked will get their UI no matter if you quit, fired, whatever. 3. DETR will only verify you worked and thats all. 4. ALL money that is paid in on your claim will be paid to you except 10 % for DETR operating costs. 5. No longer will money that didn't get paid out on years you worked and didn't claim it go in THEIR pockets. 6. No longer will they deny your claim if your in jail. I knew a person who worked for 20 years and was given 8900 in UI for the pandemic. Where did the rest go????? This has to stop and everyone who has had this happen needs to sue the state. If I find and attorney who is willing then we can make things happen, this is wrong and we need to stop these legalized criminals. There should be no reason why there isn't enough funds for all the claims, unless you didn't pay in for UI and they decided to hand out free money. The money train for them needs to come to an end and they need to pay for their bad decisions.
