THIS IS NOT FOR THOSE WITH CHRONIC LOW BACK PAIN!!!!! Do you have sudden-onset back pain due to muscle spasm? Northern California Research is currently seeking volunteers to participate in a clinical research study (Resume Study) to evaluate a new investigational (non-opiate, non-sedating, muscle relaxing) drug treatment for patients suffering from back pain due to or associated with muscle spasms. You may be eligible if you: • Are 18-64 years of age • Are able to walk • Have sudden-onset back pain (started in the last 7 days) not caused by a long-term (chronic) condition • Are willing to discontinue all other non-study provided medications or treatments for back pain/muscle spasm • Are willing and able to comply with scheduled visits and study procedures • Can be immediately available and assessed for the study to start receiving study drug ASAP– CALL TODAY The study involves 2 weeks of treatment with the study drug, 3 office visits to the clinic, completion of questionnaires, and a follow-up visit. Eligible participants will begin receiving study drugs immediately as well as be compensated for their time up to $600.
