Army Navy Country Club's houseman provides the highest quality housekeeping service to our members and guests, while maintaining the service standards set forth by the housekeeping management team. Work hard to promote the business and best interests of Army Navy Country Club. Essential Functions Perform daily scheduled cleaning services as assigned by Manager Surface dusting Clean Vacuum, mop, sweep, windows, blinds, mirror & chandelier Bathroom cleaning Laundry and ironing Floor care. Shampooing carpets and hardwood floor Perform thorough deep clean of event spaces as required Report all maintenance issues to Manager, immediately Report all safety and security issues to Manager, immediately Communicate with Manager to ensure all guest/member requests are fulfilled Completes any and all other tasks as assigned by the Service Manager EQUIPMENT / MACHINERY / CHEMICALS USED Gas powered or electric utility vehicle Vacuum Iron All-purpose cleaner, bleach, disinfectant, furniture polish, glass cleaner and other related general cleaning products QUALIFICATION STANDARDS The employee in this position should be dependable, trustworthy, able to work well in a team, and lift up to 40lbs. This position requires the employee to communicate effectively with members and guests to ensure that service is provided to them in a professional and responsive manner, and to communicate with co-workers to ensure that job responsibilities are performed in an efficient, effective and safe manner. Must be high energy, guest service oriented and able to ensure our guests/members are handled with the utmost courtesy and professionalism. Must have the ability to effectively communicate with guest/members and co-workers Education: The employee in this position must possess the knowledge and skills to demonstrate the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities. Ability to reach, bend, stoop, stand and push, pull and lift items Experience: Hotel or Country Club experience preferred Physical Demands: Must be able lift, carry, pull and push 25+ lbs. constantly and frequently. Position also requires standing for a long period of time and frequent bending General availability: Flexibility preferred- the ideal candidate will have the flexibility to break down event spaces once events end
