Description
Kiki is a healthy 4-year old female cat whose senior owner recently passed away. She was trained not to go on furniture or in certain areas of the house so she is very domesticated and calm in nature sleeping much of the day with a few bouts of running back and forth to get her youthful energy out which started happening after a month or so of lying in bed very unresponsive only getting up to eat, etc. Kiki sucks on the end of her tail everyday. At first I was concerned it might have been injured (or that she was injuring it), but now I think it's her way of self-nurturing or coping. She doesn't seem to care to go outside (or to get outside), and she doesn't like to be petted when lying down. She prefers to come you and rub against your hand herself (she may have been stricken before by hand or is just learning to trust someone new). The grandson and family took her in after her owner passed and Kiki got along well with the dog, but not the cat so that's when I offered to foster her. I've allowed, or rather encouraged her to sleep on my bed as she has done every night now. And she's learned to give virtual kisses (by licking her lips) on queue nearly every time. She also appears to be a bit of a ham playing-up for the camera unbelievably at times (which I could send you some videos). And her meow sounds like a sweet tiny kitten when she rarely lets it out. She truly is a sweetheart and such a good girl, but she is still coping with the loss of her previous life which I believe will take more time. Spending time with me will hopefully have made her more trusting in general, and served as a good stepping stone and temporary (peaceful) shelter during her transition. I believe she would adapt nicely in a new home without children or other cats. She'd be perfect for a senior who wants companionship as she's so easy to care for using her litter box every time (never once going outside of it), and eats hard food sparingly here and there. She is not declawed but uses her scratching post often, and her "signature markings" include a few black spots on her back right foot which, in my mind, is like the Creator's way of uniquely marking her to identify her from the crowd so she won't gets misidentified or lost easily. She truly is a masterpiece with gorgeous green eyes. If you are interested in considering Kiki, please contact me and let me know your home situation if you don't mind so I can ensure I do my due diligence in finding her a new home. P.S. I don't answer the phone for numbers I don't recognize, so please text -
