Job Description As a Team Member the primary ongoing responsibility is to assist in the delivery of products into a customer’s business or residence. Team Members focus on safety, cultivating moving skill, communication with other team members, and working with management to improve the sector business. Role and Responsibilities: 􀀀A Helper Team Member’s primary responsibilities include but are not limited to moving general freight, customer household goods, office furniture, and providing white glove delivery services. 􀀀Jobs can range from moving a single item to an entire home or office. 􀀀Items can often weigh several hundred pounds. 􀀀Moves involving stairways are and tight areas are common. 􀀀The workday can be long (10 hr. day or longer is not unusual) 􀀀Work schedule is Monday – Friday position with occasional weekend work and overnight travel. 􀀀Overtime is common in summer months. 􀀀This job requires a person with above average mental stamina and physical skill. Tasks include: 􀀀Carrying heavy items long distances and up/down stairways. 􀀀Using mechanical dollies and pallet jacks. 􀀀Disassembling and reassembling furniture and equipment. 􀀀Providing quality, customer service at all times. 􀀀Promoting, maintaining and developing existing customers and new customer business. 􀀀Occasional weekend work for store promotions. 􀀀All other duties assigned by management. Qualifications and Education Requirements: 􀀀Strong communication and teamwork skills needed. 􀀀Physically intelligent and strong. 􀀀Basic mechanical/maintenance skill and general knowledge of tools. 􀀀Be available for occasional overnight travel and some weekend work. 􀀀Have a valid driver’s license. 􀀀Pass background checks and drug screen. 􀀀High school diploma/GED 􀀀Required to obtain DOT Medical Card. 􀀀Must pass physical fitness test. 􀀀Must be able to lift 75 lbs throughout duration of shift.
