Senior Female Cat Needs Forever Home

My husband and I took Misty in when our good family friend passed away suddenly a couple months ago. We already have two young cats and the young girls hate Misty and Misty hates them. She wants to be an only pet! Misty is about 10-12ish. She's been to the vet and is very healthy with the exception of some kidney issues (very common in older cats). So she is on a special diet and doing very well with that! She is a very low maintenance companion! She sleeps most of the day but will always come to greet you when she is awake. She does ok with stairs but cannot jump up or down very high. She LOVES to nuzzle her head up to yours and give you little kisses with her nose. She loves to be brushed and she loves pets but she does NOT like being picked up ever. She has been through a lot recently. She needs to learn to trust you and until she does she might strike you with a paw if you touch her lower back area. Now that she trusts me she lets me brush and touch her back now and doesn't react at all. We are really sad that we cannot keep this sweet senior lady, but we really want her to live out the rest of her life as happy as can be as an only cat. We are looking for the PERFECT forever home for her and we will be very picky until we find that perfect one. **She must be an only pet** Please email me if you or someone you know is interested.
