ABOUT THE ROLE The Lube Technician is responsible for safe and efficient application of a wide variety of lube service activities in heavy duty trucks. Activities may include vehicle inspection, wiper replacement, light replacement, battery installation, and changing oil & filters. Lube Technicians use an array of equipment including air guns, air jacks, drills, buffers, hammers, lifts, and miscellaneous hand tools. Duties also include keeping the shop well stocked with filters, oil, grease, lubes, lamps, and minor parts. Schedule: Monday – Friday, 2:30pm – 11:00pm Location: Jubitz Truck Service Center, 10205 N Vancouver Way, Portland, OR 97217 Salary: We are hiring at various experience/skill levels for this role. Pay rate will be determined based on individual qualifications. THIS JOB IS PERFECT FOR A mechanically inclined individual with a great attitude and work ethic. Someone looking to gain experience and knowledge of the industry, or an already experienced technician who wants to grow with a great company. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE - High School Diploma/GED required. - Valid Oregon or Washington Driver’s License with acceptable motor vehicle record. - Experience/familiarity with mechanical environments. DESIRED SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES - Ability to handle a complex variety of tasks simultaneously while maintaining professional composure and positive approach. - Demonstrated knowledge of automotive shop equipment and procedures. - A customer service oriented attitude; desire to provide a "World Class Customer Experience" to clientele. - Recent graduation of a diesel school program is a plus. - CDL not required but would be an asset in this role. - Communication skills both verbal and written.
