🌟Job Title: Transfer / Rail Switch Operator 🏢City / Zip code: Hutchins, TX 75141 💻Job Duties: You will learn / be cross-trained on procedures and processes associated with the transferring of material from railcar (hopper car) to silo 💡Qualifications: - Experienced in rail operations/railcars; - Basic technical knowledge of railcars and locomotives; - General knowledge of communication and rail yard terminology. 🔍General Requirements: - Wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and follow all Safety Procedures outlined by OSHA. - Must be able to read, write and speak the English language. - Ability to perform all basic calculations (add, subtract, multiply, divide). - Able to work in a fast-paced moderate environment, and various temperatures to complete warehouse tasks. - Ability to perform physical activities that require lifting, walking, stooping, and handling materials. Ability to lift and carry up to 55 lbs. to move materials, supplies and/or equipment. - Ability to stand and perform work duties for an extended period. ✔️Responsibilities: - Report to work according to the assigned work schedule following supervisor instructions. - Follow the companies' safety and quality instructions to avoid accidents and prevent injuries. - Maintain a clean and orderly work area by ensuring that floors are clean and organized. - Properly fill out daily documentation regarding rail schedule, shift activity, damages, and relocation forms. - Communicates in a clear and concise manner with locomotive driver to safely perform rail car operations. - Performs rail operation such as climbing rail cars, releasing hand brakes, coupling and uncoupling air hoses from rail cars, and calculating right distance to move and stop rail cars following all safety procedures. ⏰Shift & Hours: 6:00 am to 6:00 pm -- or- 6:00 pm to 6:00 am Candidates must be flexible to work a rotating schedule Availability of overtime 💲Pay Rate: $12.00 - $13.00 per hour Apply in person or call us for more details: ❗Need 2 forms of ID 📍13748 Neutron Road, Suite 110 Dallas, TX 75244 ☎️(469) 309-5727
