Construction Carpenter - Skilled / Mid-Level

Lafayette Construction & Development, Inc. is seeking a full-time, skilled, mid-level carpenter to assist with general construction projects. This individual will work to support the foreman and other skilled craftsmen to ensure production goals are met. Responsibilities will vary widely from job to job, and across all phases of new construction and renovation projects, so a wide range of experience is preferable. Requirements: • Drug free • Minimum 2 years of prior construction or field experience • Reliable transportation • Ability to work 10-hour shifts (6:30am-5:00pm) Monday through Thursday • Working knowledge of hand and power tools, along with necessary safety guidelines • Compliance with company health & safety policies • Ability to work efficiently, without sacrificing quality or safety • Ability to work independently and collaboratively • Willingness to work hard, in both outdoor and indoor environments • Ability to follow specific instructions and take training and feedback constructively • Ability to meet physical requirements, including lifting and carrying loads of up to 60 lbs Competitive benefit package – including retirement plan with company match, paid time off, paid holidays, and 3-day weekends – is available.
