PT Custodian - working M-Th evenings, Saturdays day shift - 20 hours per week. SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY! Qualifications 1. Ability to perform custodial duties as required. 2. Ability to get along well with staff and church members. 3. Ability to take instructions from immediate supervisor and other staff members. 4. Ability to make decisions based on outlined duties, church policy and procedures. 5. Ability to work without close supervision. 6. Must show initiative in performing custodian work. 7. Attention to detail is a must. 8. Ability to physically lift tables and chairs and set up rooms. 9. At least one year custodial experience. To Whom Responsible Facilities Director Responsibilities 1. Daily custodial duties as outlined by the Facilities Director, including opening and closing of the building when necessary. 2. Ensure that the church is clean and set up for scheduled activities in coordination with the Office Manager, Facilities Director, staff and members. 3. Be aware of needed repairs to the building and contact the Facilities Director, and/or the Chairperson of the Trustees to arrange for repairs to be made. Specific Duties 1. Cleaning of the building will include: emptying all trash from all areas of the building; dusting; dust mopping; sweeping; vacuuming, mopping, stripping, and waxing of floors; shampooing carpets throughout the building; cleaning of bathroom floors, walls, toilets, sinks, counter tops, and mirrors; washing windows and mini-blinds; wash, dry and put away sheets, dish towels and cloths for church activities, Keystone Adult Day Program and First Steps. 2. Cleaning the Sanctuary will include: removal of all leftover bulletins and other trash, dust pews, empty water out of baptismal font, check attendance record books for signed sheets and cards for Fellowship Night and turn in to the church office, dust mop, and mop floor. 3. General Maintenance will include: replace light bulbs, both inside and outside the building, yard work (weeding and other tasks as necessary), take care of coke machine for UMW, keep all closets neat and orderly, work with all repair crews, firemen, and police when needed. 4. Set up for meetings will include: setting up and taking down of all tables, chairs, and other items needed. 5. Security will include: making sure all doors and windows are locked and secured and alarm is set before building is closed for the day. Be aware of strangers in and on the premises. Alert the Facilities Director of their presence. Call police or firemen if situation requires it. 6. Other duties as required or assigned by the Facilities Director.
