Partnerships in Community Living, Inc (PCL) is looking for Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) who will provide safety, stability, nurturing, and life skills education, while also ensuring every child gets to experience a fun-filled, positive, and loving environment in which to grow and develop. Successful candidates will be ethical, patient, reliable, tenacious, compassionate, able to work independently, and adaptable. This position will require advanced knowledge of mental health and positive behavioral support, advanced training expectations and when appropriate and necessary, sharing of overall department/team goals. This position must encourage the best practice of supporting people using evidence-based therapeutic models and environmental change to achieve consistent, stable and productive lives. Current Openings include (subject to change*): Keizer-1 You'll be working with 3 girls (Ages 13-14) who are fun and like to do a variety of things. Some of their favorites are playing soccer and basketball, art activities, shopping, playing with Play Doh, listening to music and dancing, hanging out in the backyard, swimming, and being silly with people. Keizer-2 You will be working with two women that love to stay active and involved in their lives and family. Both women really enjoy to be a part of decision making and having information presented to them. Staff are advocates, that will provide informed choice, structure, creativity, flexibility, and a devotion to purpose. Some interests include: sporting events (both playing and watching), adventures outdoors (hiking, camping, swimming, etc.), arts and crafts, action related things ( movies, games, looking at merch, etc.) baking and cooking (finding new things to make), bingo, puzzles different social media sites, comedy, and of course zombies, wizards, witches, vampires and more! Keizer-3 You will be supporting two young gentlemen and one young woman. All three stay pretty active throughout the day. Activities can range from shooting hoops in the backyard, watching TV & Movies, surfing the web for favorite movie quotes, and swinging on the swing set in the backyard. Visiting the Dollar Tree daily, beach trips, and swimming in the pool out back during the summer are more favorites! Salem-1 You'll be working with 3 teenagers (2 girls, 1 boy) (Ages 14-17). They love dancing, doing art, cooking, playing video games, or even just playing card games and video games! They like going hiking and swimming, watching movies, and cooking. They enjoy trying new things, whether that is new food or activities, they are up for new adventures. Wages are $14.25/hour-$15.25/hour (differential of $1.00/hr after successful completion of new hire training for some locations). If you leave this department, your base wage will be $14.25/hr. (Minimum Wage until new hire training is successfully completed). Full time employees (30 or more hours a week) are eligible for 401(K), Paid Time Off, Medical Insurance, Dental Insurance, Vision Insurance and Life Insurance coverage. Requirements: Be 18 years of age or older. Possess a valid government issued photo ID, driver’s license preferred. Some positions require that you be able to meet agency insurance requirements to be able to drive. Be able to pass a State/Federal background check. Fingerprints may be required. Pass a pre-employment drug screening for illegal substances. Pass a pre-employment computer skills assessment. Be able to regularly lift a minimum of 25 lbs. Depending on work location, some positions may require a higher lifting requirement. Training Requirements and Expectations: Attend a required Meet and Greet. This is the scheduled first day of work. Shadow shifts between Meet and Greet and Orientation Training. Attend a two week orientation training in Monmouth and/or Virtually, may be flexible with prior communication.
