PURPOSE:
To serve the church by providing housekeeping and custodial services to the church building. The Facilities Team provides support to all pastors, church staff, and preschool staff.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform regular housecleaning duties as directed by the Facilities Director and/or Facilities Coordinator, such as vacuuming, dusting, cleaning restrooms, mopping floors, washing glass doors, windows, mirrors, cleaning kitchen and equipment, drinking fountains, taking out trash, or any other housecleaning duties as requested
Open the facility during designated scheduled times, following outlined security proceduresClose and secure facility per instructions
Work with Facilities Director ensuring that rooms have been set up as requested, and returned to original arrangement after the event
Assist groups that are meeting in the building
Cooperate with the Director of Facilities and other staff members by performing any day-to-day activities when asked to do so
WORK SCHEDULE
A set schedule Monday-Friday:
8am-1pm or,
11am-4pm
Schedule may change with advance notice to cover day off and PTO for other team members
Additional hours (up to 29 hours/week), if desired, may be available based on the amount of seasonal events taking place, special events, or the absence of other team members due to day off, illness or PTO
QUALIFICATIONS:
A well-grounded faith in Jesus Christ and theological beliefs, and policies and practices compatible with Kirk of the Hills Presbyterian church
Willing to take instruction and make corrections
Must display adequate physical health and strength to carry out custodial activities, including lifting up to 50 pounds
Must be reliable, available to work during assigned scheduled times and able to follow instructions
Ability to see “big-picture”
