Description

The Packer position is responsible for efficiently and properly packing avocados into boxes while ensuring all product meets customer specifications. Shift: 6Am-2:30PM Mon-Sat, must be open to OT Essential Functions - Pack avocados efficiently into avocado boxes. - Ensure that product packed is in the appropriate container, is the correct grade, and that the quantity is accurate. - Remove completed or defective products or materials and place them on moving equipment such as conveyors or in specified areas. - Detects and reports product and materials in questionable conditions to the team lead or production supervisor. - Performs work in compliance with food safety and sanitation policies, including GMPs, personal hygiene, equipment cleanliness and work area cleanliness. - Follows all prescribed safety regulations. - Helps in other productions areas as needed. - Performs other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibility This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Qualifications - 1-3 months of related experience. - Strong verbal communication skills required. - Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide - Ability to carry out simple instructions. - Strong sense of urgency and personal accountability. - Detail oriented and organized. - Excellent attendance and punctuality required.
