The Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for coordinating outside contractors for building systems maintenance, new construction/remodeling projects, planning small projects, and assisting in project management. The position is also responsible for general maintenance of Company buildings including light building maintenance, repairs and handyman responsibilities.
A day in the life of our Maintenance Coordinator:
Performs minor repairs to company property. Examples include plumbing, electrical, ceiling, flooring, equipment, drywall, doors, locks, trim, light bulbs, cords/cabling, clogged drains, minor leak repair, fixture replacement, and other repairs as assigned
Performs light carpentry and painting
Orders, assembles, and performs minor repairs to furniture
Coordinates work and schedule of outside contractors
Assists in planning, designing, organizing and obtaining estimates for major repairs, building systems maintenance, remodeling/construction projects
Participates in project management of facilities maintenance projects as assigned
Perform occasional light housekeeping and cleaning as needed
Assists other departments in acquisition and transport of supplies/materials from suppliers and Company facilities including driving of Company vehicles with trailer and operation of forklift
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required, Associates or Trade degree in related field preferred
Experience: Minimum two years light maintenance and/or handyman work
Computer Skills: Basic office PC – MS Windows, Word, and Excel required. MS Project, PowerPoint, Visio, and CAD preferred
Certificates & Licenses: Valid driver’s license with clean record
