Primary Responsibilities: • Install awnings on commercial and residential buildings • Assist with construction of awnings • Measuring buildings and problem solving • pre-install when required by scope of work • Remove and reinstall existing fabric awnings • Responsible for installing metal canopies/awnings using hand and power tools • Install fabric covers/awnings, complete units metal frame and cover • Work outside year round • Climb ladders while carrying up to 50 lbs. • Work from an extension ladder while drilling, hammering, tightening bolts, caulking, lifting, tying rope, wear safety equipment including steel-toed shoes at all times • Other tasks as assigned Wage: Range: $16/hour and up - Commensurate with Experience Primary Job Requirements • Must have at least 2 years of awning installation /construction work experience • Knowledge of general construction • Ability to use common tools competently (i.e. drill, chop saw, rotary hammer, hand tools) • Familiarity with common attachment devices (i.e. wedge anchors, screws, epoxy bolts) • Ability to accurately measure and interpret measurements • Ability to carry 50lbs up a ladder of any size with assistance • Ability to work solo on a ladder of any size • Ability to work both independently and cooperatively • Ability to follow instructions and give clear directions • Ability to prioritize and multi-task ongoing projects • Ability to project professional image and interact positively with clients • Exceptional knowledge of building structure and tool management skills • Consistent accountability - doing what you say you will, when you say you will • Stellar team player - takes an interest in the lives of those you work with • Punctual with excellent time-management skills • Valid driver’s license and proper ID (s) for employment • Must have reliable transportation Position is Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm but not limited to this schedule.
