Abbott House is hosting an interview event! We are currently seeking Full-Time Direct Support Professionals for our sites in Rockland and Westchester County. DATE/TIME: March 31, 2021 from 11:00am - 3:00pm LOCATION: 100 North Broadway Irvington, NY 10533 PLEASE WEAR A MASK Hourly Rate: $14/hour Abbott House offers low cost medical insurance, PTO accrual, tuition assistance, child care referral, retirement plan, and more Job Requirements: High School Diploma or Equivalent A valid NYS drivers license required Job Responsibilities: Complete attendance list and update program notes on a daily basis Assist team in development and facilitation of consumers valued outcomes Review consumers files to gain knowledge regarding day habilitation plans and consumers safeguards Assist consumers with the curriculum tasks as outlined Provide direct supervision to and interact with the consumers in the program site and in the community Participate in the agency's in-service training as requested and attend any other training's that deal directly with the Day Habilitation program Assist consumers to build and maintain positive relationships Transport consumers to volunteer and recreational sites as scheduled adhering to all safety requirements Maintain contact with Day Habilitation Supervisor at all times and bring items that require assistance to their attention Communicate with family members, service coordinators and case managers as required or requested by the agency Cross train in other programs Adhere to the National Association of Direct Support Professionals Code of ethics Be a safe, alert and undistracted driver
