We own a small company the works mainly east of the cooper. We are based in lower Awendaw close to the See Wee Outpost ( we are not Hidden Ponds). We provide our clients a variety of services including, yard maintenance, irrigation and landscape design. However, our specialty is color work. We specialize in the installation of color gardens, container gardens, and their care. We also grow on site a large variety of fruits, vegetables, annuals, perennials and succulents. We are looking to find an experienced grower or very knowledge gardener to help with all these things. I need them to feel comfortable in taking part in seed starting, propagation, planting, harvesting, and watering in a small farm / greenhouse/ nursery environment. They must also be able to identify plant pest and diseases. During season planting you may be asked to help load and unload plant trucks and to help prepare pots and beds for seasonal color as well as assist in the installation.The position is full time for MWThF from 7:30 until 4:30 (occasionally as late as 5:30during planting times) Also needs to be available one Saturday a month. Additional hours may be available. Pay is determined by experience, resume and display of plant knowledge. (The minimum pay is $13.50 but is negotiable.... We are looking for a person who wants share in a unique experience. Who is willing to grow with us, who shows enthusiasm, an ability to work alone, and commitment. We recognize those qualities and are willing to pay additional if you display them.) We share our vegetables, herbs and eggs as well. The applicant MUST have the following: 1. a valid drivers license 2. transportation to and from work 3. MUST HAVE good knowledge of growing and caring for plants. Including pest identification, pruning, proper watering and disease control 4. be able to lift and load bags of mulch and soil. The position is currently open and we are looking to hire as soon as a qualified applicant is found. This if a year round position not seasonal help.
