Job Description Party Cape Cod, a special event tent and rental company looking to hire for the 2021 season a full-time Assistant Operations Manager. The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure the efficient and accurate execution of deliveries by managing drivers, leading crew members, organizing trucks, and interacting with customers. Reporting to the Operations Manager & Operations Director, this position requires hands-on participation with our tent installation crews, the ability to foster a team atmosphere, and to uphold specific customer service and quality control standards. Responsibilities: - Assists Operations Manager in assigning crew members to delivery teams - Drives truck to delivery site and supervises crew at all times - Manage and mentor crew members, providing job training assistance of new employees - Supervises and participates in the installation of tents and delivery of tables, chairs, dance floor, china, glassware and linen - Picks up items following function and returns them to their correct location in the warehouse - Interacts professionally and courteously with clients, caterers and property managers - Performs routine maintenance on all products (tents, tables, chairs, etc.) Qualifications: - Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record of 4 years - Must allow permission for background check and driving record check - Must allow for and pass a drug test - Must be able to lift 50lbs+ with assistance - Must be available to work in all weather conditions - Excellent problem solving, interpersonal, and organizational skills - Prior driving experience is preferred - No CDL required - High school diploma or equivalent Scheduling: - 5-day, rotating work schedule will span across the entire week (Monday-Sunday). - Hours fluctuate based on delivery needs. - Early start times and late nights may occur. - Occasional overtime may occur.
