Cozy "Retirement Home" Sought for Dachshund Nora

We are looking for a quiet and loving home for Nora the Explorer, an older dachshund (somewhere between 8-12 years old according to the vet). My sister rescued her from a shelter at the holidays, but has recently started a full-time job that requires in-person attendance and must leave Nora alone most days. Nora is the ideal dog for someone who wants a loyal companion and enjoys a cozy snuggle on the couch. She would do best in a home without children, other dogs or a revolving door of visitors as she doesn't like surprises. Nora loves the beach, but doesn't require long walks. In fact, she can be let out of the house and will do her business in the backyard without a fence or much of a threat of running off. Little is known about Nora's past. But a recent visit to the vet for a full examination showed that Nora is in good condition with the exception of her hearing. All of her shots are up to date as of February 2021. We have the basic pet supplies to help get Nora settled in a new home. We would like to find a good match for Nora over the next few weeks.
