Thrive Garden Design is a full service landscape company looking to expands its team. We currently have multiple positions available and we are looking for the right people to fill them. If you are an experienced landscaper or are person who is interested in learning some new skills we may be the right fit for you. These positions are full time or part time Monday through Friday with some Saturdays required. A valid drivers license is a huge plus. Position Summary: Our entry level position is a field worker. They are assigned a number of different tasks by their Crew Leader depending on the jobsite requirements. This employee is a strong team player who works efficiently and follows directions. They are required to learn the proper use of several different pieces of equipment and must learn our procedures for all assigned work. Employee works with their assigned crew leader to provide overall customer satisfaction by providing high quality work in the most efficient way possible while keeping safety in mind. Team Player: Work closely with other members of their crew to perform task as efficiently as possible while maintaining a high standard for quality. Can be relied upon to do their part of any job and will take responsibility for their own performance. Always ready to help other members of the team as needed. They will communicate any issues they see to their Crew Leader. Hard Working: Expected to work on assigned task with great effort at all times. They will be an example to our customer of our commitment to work hard for them. Always be working on assigned task unless taking an authorized break. They are to work safely and as efficiently as possible. Good Student: Employee will often have to learn many new skills and procedures. Work hard to learn these new skills with a positive attitude and be open to constructive feedback. Use these new skills and procedures as they are learned to better serve our customers and perform duties. Good Listener: Constantly receiving feedback from management and customers. It is important that they hear and understand this information and use it to perform their assigned task properly. If they do not understand they are responsible to get clarification from there supervisor on how to proceed. Summary of Specific Responsibilities: Participate in a wide variety of landscape and maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, edging, pruning, blowing, planting, and trash removal. Ensure all tasks assigned are completed properly. Make appropriate decisions based on task and prioritize as needed. Operate a variety of manual and mechanical equipment safely. Help perform daily/weekly maintenance of equipment assigned to the crew. Follow all company policies. Tag out all broken or damaged equipment and report it to the Crew Leader. Any other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications & Experience: Ability to lift 50 lbs. Available to work a varied schedule (including Saturdays) in sometimes adverse weather. Stoop, stand and bend for 10 hours or more a day. Willingness to and the ability to do physical work. Ability to get to work on time and work weekend and even nights as needed. 1+ year of experience in landscaping or construction is preferred. Salary: $9.00 to $11.00 /hour Job Type: Full-time, Part-time
