Beginning/Intermediate drums lessons available. Full kit, electronic and acoustic, at two different locations. Musicians Institute Honor Graduate. Variety of styles. Focus is on technique, basic skills, and don’t forget, it has to remain -fun-. For intermediate players, I have what I consider a unique approach/understanding of how to get the most out of building playing skills, that I have not heard most other drummers express as being part of their playing vocabulary/toolbox. You can build your arsenal quickly understanding and applying these fundamentals. For beginners, we will need first to focus on what beginners need, as that never changes for any drummer. We all start at the same basic place. I am a songwriter as well, and remember, one thing we need to remember to do, is play the -song- not the drums. We just do -our- part on the drums. The song must always remain first and foremost. I prefer 45 minute lessons for a couple of reasons. The reason for the student is, an hour is often too long (for focus, productivity), and 30 minutes often is not enough. For my purposes, it prevents overlaps of student time, keeping each students time on schedule. $35 per 45 minute lesson.
