Hey there! I am a drummer, songwriter, vocalist, looking to get my feet under me here in Nashville. I recently revamped my whole life, to resume a music career, after years of putting it aside to raise my girls and put family first. Moved here recently from Seattle. Work experience around the world, L.A., West Coast, Europe. My interests are varied. I would LOVE to find great connections to work with people on -all- levels. From drumming in cover bands with original artists also sprinkling in their own work, my work, etc... to playing strictly drums on Studio or live work- (I do have studio experience and a pretty spot on feel, pocket, “clock”), to starting my own band if there are those out there that are interested in backing me on that. I also sing fairly well... I will let others judge that, but I would definitely be an asset vocally that most drummers cannot match. Musicians Institute honor graduate. I have a few mottos I have learned over the years. Two come from my music school: 1. Leave your ego at the door. 2. You are only as good as your last performance The third, is mine, but not unique to me: 3. You play the SONG, NOT the drums... do THAT job... FIRST. Being a songwriter as well, my sensibilities are to the overall work, song. If you are looking for someone to help you with demos, maybe some ideas freely shared, (I have a knack at arranging), and someone that can help you get your own works out there, I am here to be that person. In the end, one does what the artist and/or producer wants, not what I want. I write on guitar, and keyboards, for myself. Neither of which would I consider to be at a playing level to meet Nashville standards. Just tools. I can also write music -for- lyrics, and lyrics -for- music (that is my strongest point, lyrics). Happy to help there as well. Hired gun gigs as well. So- there you have it. Professional gear and training and attitude. Humbly, I would love to work with the great people that I know are peppering the surrounds of Nashville.
