Essel Environmental provides On-Demand Emergency Management Personnel throughout the United States. We currently have over 100 technicians working on projects across the county. We have an immediate need for Hazwoper Laborers to assist with a 2 week project in Pueblo, CO. The Hazwoper Laborer role will be cross-trained to assist on a project need basis and provide services to a variety of industries. Projects are typically one week to a month in duration and likely require paid travel time to the worksite. As we continue to expand, our goal is to have a workforce who is available and cross trained to handle various projects. Technicians should anticipate a minimum of 24-72 hour advanced notice and the option to accept or decline a deployment. This hours for this role are typically up to 6 days per week, 10-12 hour shifts. Qualifications: Familiar with computers/tablets for entering data and using basic programs Valid Driver’s license The ability to obtain required endorsements High School Diploma/ GED The ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends when needed Reliable local transportation Job Responsibilities: Utilize small hand-tools, squeegees, shovels and brooms as well as wipes, absorbent boom and pads to contain and remediate impacted soils and waters. Work along vac truck team to perform industrial cleaning projects using equipment such as operating vac trucks, water blasters and line jetters. Perform manual work requiring periods of extensive physical exertion Must have the ability to carry out written and oral instructions Be able to meet the work schedule with dependability and consistency. Drive a motor vehicle and operate equipment Assist in the set up and tear down of job site. Other duties as assigned Work Environment: Outdoor work in potentially adverse conditions, i.e. rain and mud, rocky soils, snow and ice, extreme temperatures Less than ideal driving conditions Team members are frequently required to wear PPE, such as respirators and protective clothing and may be working in confined spaces 40 Hour Hazwoper Certification, Drug Screen, Background Check, Medical and Respirator Fit Test will be covered by Essel for selected workers
