Description
The commercial painter is responsible for providing industrial spray painting, priming, and coating on multiple surfaces, as well as installing company products according to work order, manufacturer, quality and safety guidelines.
The primary tasks, duties, and responsibilities of a commercial painter are listed in the job description example below:
Mask and prepare structure surfaces for coatings
Blend and reduce paint systems and apply paint to meet specifications
Clean and maintain equipment by removing all traces of paint
Repair and remodel imperfections
Perform exterior and interior painting of commercial buildings, steel, equipment, structures, etc.
Prepare and protect work surfaces with drop cloths and masking
Responsible for loading, unloading, and preparing and cleaning of job sites, materials, and tools
Responsible for the setup and execution of tasks on scaffolding and ladders
Utilize brush, spray gun, or paint roller to accurately paint various surfaces
Install specified nozzles in spray guns, replace screens and filters and maintain the sprayer.
When not painting, assist with our site duties including but not limited to: loading and unloading job materials, sheet rocking and plastering, assisting with door/window installation and any other duties required for the project.
Requirements –
• 5 years commercial painting experience
• Must have drivers license and good insurance rating
• Ability to pass criminal background check and drug test
• Must be comfortable on ladders, swing staging, and aerial lifts
• Masonry experience a plus
