We are immediately hiring canvassers at a competitive rate to circulate petitions throughout a few South-East Queens neighborhoods on Tuesday, March 23, and Wednesday, March 24th. You have the option of working both days. Canvassers will circulate in teams of two (2) or more. You may go door-to-door or be stationed in a high-traffic area. The goal is to interact with residents of the neighborhood and briefly educate them on the Democratic candidate. We will train you and provide you informative materials, but the most successful applicants will be effective communicators who are engaging, outgoing and responsible individuals. Those who possess those skills and are looking to move up will have the opportunity to be evaluated for long-term positions. Hours are 3 PM - 8 PM, but a minimum of 4 hours needed. $25/hr, with an opportunity for a bonus. REQUIREMENTS: Canvasser must be a registered Democrat in New York State. Dress warm and wear comfortable shoes. Be professional, engaging, outgoing, and responsible. Effectively communicate with others in a professional and COVID-19 Precaution(s): Required to abide by NY state's COVID-19 guidelines, including but not limited to: mask-wearing, social distancing, etc.
